FAQ

What is the dress attire?

Please join us in summer cocktail attire for men and women—dressy, comfortable, and celebratory. Kilts and tartan are very much welcomed!

Is the Scotch whisky the same as last year?
We offer Scotch whiskies from multiple regions of Scotland. While some favorites return, several selections are rotated each year, so there will be new whiskies to enjoy. We also rotate award-winning international whiskies for comparison

Do you have any other drinks besides Scotch whisky?
Yes. We will also have beer, cider, wine, a limited bar, and non-alcoholic options available.

Do you offer gluten-free or vegetarian options?
While much of the food is generously donated by local restaurants, we do provide additional gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options.

If I do not reserve a table, will I have a place to sit?
Yes. Seating will be available for guests without reserved tables and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Will I receive tickets?
Yes. Tickets and parking information will be mailed closer to the Bash.

Thank you to everyone who attended our 2025 McLain Bash! Together, we raised more than $20,100 for the Cumberland County Historical Society. These funds will directly support our mission to engage people with the stories of all of Cumberland County’s history—linking past to present to build understanding and strengthen our communities.
