Weapons & Gear at the Time of the Whiskey Rebellion, 1794

April 23, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Did you ever wonder what it would have been like to be in the militia while George Washington was president?  Tad W. Miller, a reenactor and volunteer at the Cumberland County Historical Society, will give a short talk followed by a hands-on demonstration of some weapons and equipment during the 1790s.  This is a family-friendly event and is appropriate for all ages.  The Historical Society will have on display a powder horn used in Cumberland County, at Fort Pitt, before the American Revolution.
