Weapons & Gear at the Time of the Whiskey Rebellion, 1794

Did you ever wonder what it would have been like to be in the militia while George Washington was president?  Tad W. Miller, a reenactor and volunteer at the Cumberland County Historical Society, will give a short talk followed by a hands-on demonstration of some weapons and equipment during the 1790s.  This is a family-friendly event and is appropriate for all ages.  The Historical Society will have on display a powder horn used in Cumberland County, at Fort Pitt, before the American Revolution.
