
Freedom to Be Closing Reception

Join Cumberland County Historical Society and the LGBT Center of Central PA History Project for a special closing reception of the temporary exhibit Freedom to Be: LGBTQ+ Journeys in the American Story. This exhibit, on display from May 1 – June 20, 2026, is a part of CCHS’s America250 special exhibition. The informal reception will celebrate the run of the exhibit and the history of the LGBTQ+ community in Cumberland County.
The exhibit is on display in the G.B. Stuart Workshop in the History on High Museum Shop, beginning May 1, 2026. The reception will be held in the exhibit space.
The reception is free to attend and will include light refreshments and access to the exhibit. Bring your friends and family, enjoy the reception, and interact with exhibit curators and local LGBTQ+ organizations. Please use the linked form below to RSVP.
