NATIVE AMERICAN DAY
Spend a day exploring the many different cultures of the Eastern Woodlands. Come explore how the first residents of our area hunted, farmed, played and prospered in a world with no draft animals, metallurgy, or alphabet.
COLONIAL DAY
Rotating stations with a wide variety of hands-on programs and activities. Options include quill pen writing, textile production, early medicine, military drill, period clothing, tin punch, churning butter, toys and games.
CIVIL WAR DAY
Rotating hands-on stations focus on medicine, munitions, communication technology, games, military drill, European and African dance, and period clothing to reflect military and civilian life.
WORLD WAR II DAY
Rotating stations provide hands-on insight into both civilian and military life. Civilian life is reflected in numerous home front exercises focusing on rationing and volunteer services such as plane spotting. Military aspects are revealed in military gear, munitions exercises, and the stories of local heroes in both the European and Pacific theaters.
